After they devolved from standing for something, the common tactic was to change the meaning of words and to invent new ones. Now it’s just indefensible so they just don’t explain their positions because they can’t

This is the kind of thing I can agree with you on. Government officials shouldn’t even be suggesting this, even if they have no impact on the outcome.

Yeah, that’s fair. Hey, if you guys start also supporting the policy proposals I support maybe I’ll become a conservative!

Jokes aside, I have a strong distaste for hypocrisy and dishonesty, and think we need to do better as a whole. Too many people are willing to disregard poor behavior or policies because it’s their side. We need to have less blanket side choosing and more open dialogue around how the government can better operate.

It's not about "becoming a conservative." It's about understanding how corrupt and tyrannical your party has become, and that they no longer deserve your vote
