They don't realize just how much of the country has tuned out their narratives.
Midterms are going to shock the world.
Go even look at someone like AOC. She is being tuned out and can't draw anyone even in Hispanic communities.

Yeah. I get the business aspect of it. I used to make due by checking out both FOX and CNN to balance each out, then supplement that with something like NYT, WaPo, or NPR. Over the past few years all three of the latter group have lost their way and that's what really frustrates me, there's no good balanced perspective out there. The Hill seems the closest to me, and it's been nice to see The Atlantic and Newsweek at least seek out contradictory opinions for publication.
Coincidentally, the two forums I've visited for years have followed the same pattern. Both used to be a solid mix. Now this one is pretty right of center and I feel like the only person to the right of AOC on the other. I guess media is giving us what most of us think we want, but the consequences of that get worse by the day.

The reality is that if you have a 24 hour news cycle like all these companies do, you wind up either having to rely too heavily on opinion pieces or you have to figure out a rage point to keep your audience engaged. And that's where the majority of the divide comes in. ANd it's the way the wealthy want it. If average americans duke it out and fight political battles for the political parties, it makes it much harder for everyone to come together against the real enemy, the wealthy. Simply point out that in 2020 average worker compensation incresed by 1.8% while CEO increased by 16%. That's the real problem but what did people talk about? Fake elections, faux outrage over BLM protests and subsequent RIots, face masking and social distancing, etc. They stuffed so many distractions out there you wouldn't realize that the rich keep getting richer while the middle class keeps getting poorer.

Like if you want a case in point as to what the wealthy want, this is it. Sturg is literally being a useful idiot for the wealthy stirring up distrust in the "other side" because it's his marching orders as a keyboard warrior. I could disprove any number of things here, but what's the point? It won't change what he believes because that's what you're fighting here, not facts, but beliefs. Sturg believes there's no russian collusion, sturg believes the media demonized an innocent 16 year old kid. Etc. There's so many things here that aren't cut and dry facts if you look at the word choice but he'll never see or admit it. But he'll keep fighting the fight so that the Bezos's, Musks, etc. keep getting richer.
He did - But they absolutely cannot admit that the laptop was real because the laptop definitively proves that the Bidens are owned by the CCP (among other nations).
