However, do a google search on "Trump accounting" and see what happens.
Yeah, but it’s really just a symptomatic of the same problem. These outlets have varied levels of bias, but the biases largely come from appealing to an audience instead of trying to inform them. It’s certainly a fair critique, and honestly rebuts my rant pretty well. My particular frustration was with the idea that these right leaning publications, bloggers and YouTube hosts like to pretend that they aren’t just the mainstream themselves at this point. Where I think you are right is that these left leaning outlets are pretending to be about journalism for the sake of journalism. I guess my frustration is largely with my perception that “the other side” is getting away with it more. I suspect you feel the same.
Its amazing to think back to the last five years and see just how much the media has gotten wrong.
Its so overwhelming that the only rationale conclusion could be that they are PURPOSEFULLY getting things wrong.
Honestly how do leftists reconcile this?
There is never any accountability... And then they just go to the next lie. And leftists idiots eat it up.
I can't figure it out
Yeah. I get the business aspect of it. I used to make due by checking out both FOX and CNN to balance each out, then supplement that with something like NYT, WaPo, or NPR. Over the past few years all three of the latter group have lost their way and that's what really frustrates me, there's no good balanced perspective out there. The Hill seems the closest to me, and it's been nice to see The Atlantic and Newsweek at least seek out contradictory opinions for publication.
Coincidentally, the two forums I've visited for years have followed the same pattern. Both used to be a solid mix. Now this one is pretty right of center and I feel like the only person to the right of AOC on the other. I guess media is giving us what most of us think we want, but the consequences of that get worse by the day.
The media pushed russia collusion... it was a lie
The media pushed hunter laptop being russian plot - it was a lie
The media dismissed spying on Trump campaign... it was real
The media demonized a 16 year old kid... he was the victim
The media said no masks, then masks, then no masks again
The media said the virus was naturally occurring... it wasn't
The media constantly blasted Ron DeSantis... and now praise Dem governors for following same policies 18 months later
The media pushed bountygate... it was a lie
The media pushed horse dewormer... it was a lie
(i honestly could go on and on and on but you get the point... how do leftists reconcile this?
Was there ever a mainstream admission on the laptop?

I think they generally quietly admit it and move on, never to tell the story again,
Hunter said himself it could have been his on 60 minutes, didn't he?
Like if you want a case in point as to what the wealthy want, this is it. Sturg is literally being a useful idiot for the wealthy stirring up distrust in the "other side" because it's his marching orders as a keyboard warrior. I could disprove any number of things here, but what's the point? It won't change what he believes because that's what you're fighting here, not facts, but beliefs. Sturg believes there's no russian collusion, sturg believes the media demonized an innocent 16 year old kid. Etc. There's so many things here that aren't cut and dry facts if you look at the word choice but he'll never see or admit it. But he'll keep fighting the fight so that the Bezos's, Musks, etc. keep getting richer.
