I just wonder how long Putin's billionaire cronies indulge him before taking him down. I can't imagine that there aren't a fair number that already are considering the possibility if the chance arose. Putin is bad for business.

The Guardian is questioning Putin's sanity. This isn't some click bait news source run out of a basement. This is a 200 year old newspaper.

I said multiple times that I wondered what Putin's end game was because what he's doing doesn't make sense. It's long been known he was corrupt but he's been thought of as pragmatic. A self-interested but rational and pragmatic person is someone you can at least deal with. The rationality and pragmatism are gone. That's what's worrying me. Is he crazy enough to do something really, really stupid.

I read an interesting take today. Putin gave a bizarre speech in which he asked Ukrainian soldiers to stage a coup against their government. It was conjectured that Putin said that because he's constantly afraid of a coup attempt against him. He jumped to encouraging a coup in Ukraine because a coup is always on his mind. Considering how unhinged he looks, paranoia about a coup would certainly fit.

That's the thing. Putin is only in power as long as his oligarch's tolerate it. If they decide he needs to go. He'll be gone.

Edit: Even then, he could just get offed at any point by someone in the military.

True. One thing Russia has a proud tradition of is removing leaders when they've become burdensome.

Seriously **** Putin, **** russia, let's hit them where it hurts so they get this ****ing despot out of power. I know the fear is that Putin controls nuke codes, but we have to imagine the majority of russians won't go down with the ship.

This Ukrainian president is something else. I don't think we've had a president with half his stones since Eisenhower.

A guy who is a former comedian and not a military man is doing his damnedest to lead his country to stop a ruthless dictator.

He’s awesome

It makes me laugh to think of dumbass frump trying to shake him down lol

If Trump were in his shoes right now he’d be cowering in a bunker using his two small hands to struggle to bring a bottle of water to his mouth. All the while tweeting about how strong he is.

Imagine being so fragile and obsessed that your only post in who knows how long is this?

What pathetic children.
