I don't have the numbers at my fingers and don't care enough to look them up, but I believe the protests were more popular than Trudeau's handling of them. The multiple rejections he received at the provincial level were an indication of that.

The sudden release of mandates across the world show how popular the mandates were.

It was never about the science and any reasonable person knows that.

I don't watch RW media. I follow several IG accounts of businesses in Canada that have been shut down for 2+ years, and despite being assured they could apply for federal assistance, that assistance never came through and the program was never launched.

People went two years floating loans with no income DESPITE the gov't acknowledging those industries created no data that they were spreader industries.

I can see how people got frustrated and fed up.

I think the Canadian government coloring them as white nationalists probably had a LOT to do with the popularity and also the freezing of assets of anyone supporting it. (Shocked you are on the side of the Canadain govt, yet again LOL)

This is a 100% clown take.

People ask why I am skeptical of MSM and US govt war narratives and I would just say, why would you trust these people after everything they’ve pulled over the last 5 years?

None of the above included such pictures in their campaign brochures. Therein lies a distinction worthy of consideration. Le Pen and the National Front have been happy to align themselves with Putin in various ways. Now they are trying to cover their tracks. It will be interesting to see how they and others such as Victor Orbán manage things. There are already hints that Orbán is smart enough to understand that he should tack in a different direction.
