Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

Do you really want the government to really tell schools what they can and cannot teach? SHouldn't that be the responsibility of the student body and the parents of said body to control that?

If tax dollars are being spent to fund the education then cutting out wasteful spending makes a lot of sense.

Using a red herring like Biology or Economics as some sort of valid comparison to 'GENDER STUDIES' just proved how unserious your party is...

My in-laws are hardcore Dems. They practically pump CNN into their veins. But when my wife's Muslim Studies prof told the class on September 12th, 2001, that America deserved the previous day's attacks and more, she called the department dean. The response was that she should drop the class or transfer to another school if she didn't like it.

Yes, I absolutely want elected officials who represent their constituents to be able to tell the schools that those constituents fund and the professors that those constituents pay, what they are allowed to teach.

Actual views on abortion aside, I’m not sure what this actually would have accomplished. If the idea is to pass legislation to preempt SCOTUS overturning Roe v. Wade, it seems pretty likely that SCOTUS would simply overturn this as well.

When he threw the bananas I would have introduced his head to my good friend the floor.

"Since Feb. 21, there have been at least three shootings, two stabbings and one carjacking in the area"

honestly not a bad day in violent America

all things considered

that's right next to pike place market and one of the best restaurants i've eaten at.

thankfully, like all your other weird fear porn of cities, was able to visit and obviously hang out in that area and able to tell the tale later. maybe one day it will catch up to me though. like the empty grocery stores though it hasn't happened yet.

in the mean time, i'd say stop living in fear and try to enjoy the limited time you have on earth.

by the way, the mayor and police said: " talked about cracking down on crime in city “hot spots,” including the blocks around the Amazon office. Harrell said he would put a mobile police precinct at Third Avenue and Pine Street."

but can't wait to visit again later this year though since you asked about loving "liberal utopias"

Oooh boy, you doing ok?

I'm not the one whose removing employees from office out of safety fear.

That's Amazon

I used to go to Seattle all the time as Amazon was my client. That was about five years ago though so I wasn't able to visit the amazing CHAZ country they built

(Oh this is the part that goldfruit says he hasn't gotten stabbed and thus there is no crime problem)

I was reliably informed that people are leaving places like this just because of the weather.
