Official 2022 Offseason Moves Thread

Do you know what I find hilariously funny? If Acuna doesn't go down, we most likely don't win the title. Pederson was huge against the Brewers, Rosario against LA, and Soler against Houston. Acuna doesn't get hurt there is no need for that combo. At most we get Duvy back and that's it but I doubt that would have been enough.

We needed two outfielders, even with Acuña healthy. So, no, we still probably make most or all of those moves.

And another LH bat - the Pederson deal happened first on the calendar, sure, but a LH bat capable of handling CF (or RF so Acuna could slide over if he'd remained healthy anyway) was likely priority #1 on AA's shopping list no matter what.

I’m not worried either way. AA has shown he knows what he is doing. I’d obviously love to have him back and finish his career in Atlanta, but if the numbers don’t work, move on.

And the decision is going to come fast.

Just a guess, but my bet is Alex gave him his "this is our best offer in the event you want to shop it" number over an hour ago.

Our outfield was pretty trash with Acuna, we probably add 2 of them at least, maybe 3 to have depth. Probably not all 4 sure.

I'm thinking maybe Duvall since he could play Center.

The other one or two not sure. Pederson or Rosario for lefty and Soler.

I’m sure this has been discussed but if Freddie signs elsewhere is trading for Olson the only other move that makes you happy or makes sense?

Who is this mysterious 3b that’s available? I see approximately zero options.

There are quality options at 1b. The Braves have a hole at 1b. Probably best to make the obvious move.
