With the way Russia/CCP/Saudi/India are working together and creating a concurrent monetary system I'm not sure that 'Sanctions' are that much of a concern.
WHat it will do though is remove the US from reserve status and then countries will stop buying our bonds at the level they traditionally have.
Then we are in for some trouble.

I don't understand why people in the West believe that by demonizing the Russian people, it will cause Russians to rise up against the regime in Moscow. It makes no sense. You're gonna drive the Russian people towards Putin.

About 36% of Russia's budget is in oil and gas. Why would proposing people switch to green energy be good for them. I know what you'll say, US etc. will make less gas. But globally consuming less gas is not good for Russia. Why would that be their main thing? I know they did some specific targetting but that was more anti-nuclear than green as I recall. It would be like McDonalds telling people to go eat somewhere else
