All I've been reading from the redneck conservatives on my Facebook is that this was a terrorist attack that Obama is covering up.

It could very well be a terrorist attack that was covered up. China or Malaysia could take the 'don't acknowledge it approach' to not give it credence like we do to people who streak/get on the fields during sporting events.

WSJ saying this AM that the plane could have actually been in the air for four hours after it was originally reported missing. Apparently the satellite footage of the 'wreckage' is not the 777 and was accidentally released by the Chinese.

Even weirder, UK news outlets reporting that cell phones of the people on the plane are still connectable (actually ringing, not going to voicemail) -- which would be technically impossible if the plane was under water.

Q: What about reports of people who claim they called the phones of loved ones who were on the flight and said the phone rang several times without an answer, rather than going straight to voice mail, indicating that the phone might be connected to a network?

A: This doesn't necessarily mean that the phone is connected to a network, is turned on, or is even operational. It just means that the cellular carrier's system is taking some time to look for the phone.

If the phone isn't operational couldn't it be underwater?
