Bauer suspended 2 seasons

Might as well say “Bauer suspended for his prime”
Brutal.
So pretty much he will miss 4 seasons of his prime after all is said and done

Damn! Yeah they must of had good evidence against him. Due is a special talent so it sucks but it is what it is. His arm will be well rested, if anybody wants that stinch around their team when he does come back.

This is absolute garbage. The league used to respect the legal system but now they launch investigations We used to be better than this. Now if it involves a woman expect a lynch mob. At least the criminal justice system is sometimes resisting the pitchforks.

A lot we dont know. MLB did their investigation of the Ozuna case. We all know the outcome. Next investigation different outcome. Obvious that there is a lot not hitting the public just yet. But, MLB cannot diminish the majority of $80M without something to stand on.

This is a very odd take from a fan that just saw MLB respect the legal system with Ozuna.

There are many reasons a criminal case can fall apart, and MLB doesn't have to respect any of those reasons. If Bauer did something as awful as it seems, I'm glad he isn't playing ball regardless of how the criminal proceedings shook out.

I don’t think MLB should be investigating things that are not directly related to a player’s employment. Roger Goodell started this garbage with Ray Rice. We need to revert back 20 years on this stuff.

Holy **** what an ignorant take. You literally have zero idea of what evidence MLB has or doesn’t have. Good lord.

I won't unleash on you like others here will.. but this is a very old timer view point. I don't think it is all that unreasonable to expect an org to care for it's image/brand. In today's society, with everything known instantly, a league like MLB has to be infront of issues like this. They can't risk losing people because they appear to lack empathy.

Man, he must have done some really bad stuff and there been some really solid evidence or else he must have hampered the investigation. This is MLB making an example.

Large corporations could get around long suspensions or firing employees because social 20 years ago was not what it is today. Now you pass gas and its all over twitter.

At the end of the day, regardless if criminal charges were issued or not, Bauer admitted to "rough" although consensual sex. The graphic details of their 2 encounters reflect poorly on him and the league to put it lightly. The dude put himself into that position. He will have to live with the consequences. And at this point, I don't see him pitching again for an MLB team

This is just another note. There was rumors/charges or whatever from another woman in Ohio. LA police had no juristicton but MLB didnt seem to be hampered by border in their investigation.

Imagine the punishment he’d have gotten if he was an Atlanta Brave at the time.

They might have hung him at the courthouse
