OKC will never win with Brooks as coach (Unless KD goes insane)....he plays Perk, Caron, Fish too much and all the good coach can and will exploit him. Thibs is the perfect fit there, he would fix their D in a minute and OKC would be stupid scary.

Preaching to the choir my friend. Brooks was an excellent developmental coach who preached getting better everyday. He reached the players when they were younger and basically every player has gotten better here but it terms of in game coaching and rotations he is among the worst if not worst in basketball.

I would trade the Mavericks #1 pick next year to the Bulls if they wanted Thibs out.

You guys should read the Zach Lowe piece about the lottery wheel today. Great stuff.

We are going to see the end of the lottery as we know it very soon. Not sure if the wheel is the best option but it would be kind of cool for a championship type team to get a top 5 pick and continue their dominance.

Not sure if teams losing on purpose though is good for the league. THey have to figure out a way to fix that. They will probably just change the weighting of the lottery but changes will be made.

BTW BRule...congrats on Phil Jackson. Today must be an exciting day for you.

Don't really care...I'll care when he hires a coach...set in the right direction but ultimately means nothing if you have the wrong coach/gm

It only helps to have Phil Jackson in your organization. The coach that he hires will have the same beliefs as him and as a sports fan I'd like to see a more aesthetically please team game in NY. I know Mills is still in his current role but I believe Jackson is the real GM right now.

BRule, do you think that kid you mentioned before Kyle Anderson will be available in the low teens early 20's in the draft if he comes out?

No, because if he hires Clemons or even Kerr....what Knick fan would be excited about that?

If the Bulls management actively wants to excise Thibodeau from the organization, and moreover does so, then I'd quite possibly just quit being a Bulls fan.

Not sure it's like that....but people who claim to "know" say Thibs isn't coming back because of his beef with ownership/management.

I agree that it would be ridiculous but that has been out there. He is a great coach and they'd be stupid to let him go.

Depends who declares....I can see him jumping up draft boards because he is going to kill the measurables and if he has a good 2-3 games in the tourny he can easily be a top 15 pick. Right now? I'd say he probably comes off the board late teens-early 20s. A lot depends on where teams feel he is going to play....if a team wants him as a PG, then he can go really high, if it's as a SG/SF then it could be the last few picks of the 1st round. Basically all his value is if he can play PG, if he's not a PG then he's just a nice rotational player.

Is he as good of a shooter as his stat line indicates? Do you see him as a good fit on the Thunder?

He's getting better as a shooter, certainly not his strongest skill.....I don't really see why the Thunder would draft him.

I just think that basketballs movement to positionless basketball is real. I think just having well rounded players with size is effective. Maybe his defense is weak (you would know) but I think having a potential solid shooter who can handle the ball is a great fit for the Thunder. The fast break is incredibly important and having another outlet or player who can rebound the ball and push is huge.

It does seem like the Thunder are hot after Smart. I think they try to package picks and players to move up but that is going to be difficult because Smarts probably a top 10 pick.
