I have said for a long time that the foster care has rampant corruption and sexual abuse. Texas has been fighting an 11 year court battle to resist doing anything about it despite numerous rulings against them with 2 contempt rulings and racking up fines. What amazes me is how gung ho CPS is to take your kids over the slightest thing then turn a blind eye to abuse by foster homes. Imagine having your child taken because you smoke an occasional joint and given to a rapist and who assaults them and then CPS and the court say they arent responsible for what happened.

Abolish CPS? Could be a good title for a thread.

I dont want to abolish CPS. I want it to do its job. As we speak CPS is the cause of a significant amount of sexual abuse of kids because they take kids from parents over small things and deliver them to rapists then turn a blind eye to it. I have before posted a CPS lawyer saying CPS shouldn't be held responsible for lying to get a child removed from a parent because they had no way to know that was illegal.

Agreed. It is hard work getting our agencies to work the way they should. Harder than going with the Abolish Whatever bumper sticker approach. As a country we have become very immature and not really interested in doing anything that requires persistence and effort.
