There are plenty of utility options out there that won’t cost much to trade. It needs to happen. Gosselin has no business being on a MLB roster, especially this one.

Not much to lose. If he makes it, Gosselin's fly out ties the game. And with a right-handed hitter up, it would make stealing third more viable.

I think it's worth nabbing Merrifield (assuming we don't have to give up anything ridiculous) and seeing if being on a contender revives him. What are Brooks Conrad and Omar Infante up to these days?
