Behind closed doors, the majority of R senators and congressman would agree with you. trump was the right man at the right time to change things but now it’s time for someone more of an adult to continue the trend.

All the mother****er has to do is STFU and he’s incapable of it.

R Senators would LOVE to go back to a world of pre-Trump.

We can win some more elections and lose the country in the process. They'll continue to get enriched by their donors that don't give a **** about America.

If it was completely anonymous? 2-1 against him easily.

Luckily its not R Congressmen that vote for president as Trump is on cruise control to the nomination if he chooses to run.
 
Trump blew it by bowing to the administrative state on the CCP virus after his initial instincts were dead on accurate.

We should have fully opened by Easter of 2020. The world would be in a much better spot right now.

In hindsight we should have never shut down. Problem is that the information was murky as best at the onset and if this was a more deadly strand then there would have been catastrophic ramifications. I even supported a 2 week shutdown because of how little we knew.

But after the data from Italy/Spain became more and more clear in mid to late March is was very clear it was a mistake.

In the unlikely outcome that the CCP virus had a 5% mortality rate (indiscriminate of age groups) then shutting down the economy would absolutely have been the correct decision and would have been shutdown as a result of that deadly strain anyway.

The IFR ended up being below .1%. I'm suggesting that at the time we had no clue what the IFR was and if it was in fact an elevated number like 5% the economy would have shut down around the world because nobody would be leaving their homes.

But as you know - After the 15 days I was strongly against any restrictions at all because we got data in that showed it was just the flu.
