He's the perfect 2 hole hitter.
Huh. That is what CY’s mom says about me.
Thanks for hanger in the zone.

I get I am likely over rating Grissom. Not sure where he'd play on the current team w/ a healthy ozzie. Unlikely he's good enough on D to replace Swanson next year.
But in theory, he is a perfect fit for the team. To put in a high OBP guy with some pop into this line up with a ton of POP would be great. I think he would round out the line up if he could hit like he has in the minors. Clearly I know that there is no guarantee, and it is in fact unlikely, that he'll hit in MLB like he does in the minors.
He's the perfect 2 hole hitter.
I've probably been higher on Grissom than anyone here, but those saying it's fair to pump the brakes on him a little are exactly right - and I've actually seen him in person multiple times.
There's a lot to get excited about with him, but it's just a little early to label him "the perfect 2 hole hitter" after a grand total of 14 ABs in Mississippi - Waters looked like a slam-dunk perennial All-Star at the same stage in his development.

Diego has an uncanny eye thus far..SSS. But 19 walks and 18 so's in roughly 90 plate appearances first time in the states, I'll take it. I think he hit his homeruns the first few games. His stats are meaningless at the moment.Wish we'd hear something from Ambioris Tavarez... guessing he's still in extended spring training. He's not on the DSL or FCL teams thus far. Glod and Benitez have struggled to make contact during their first minor league action. Hopefully they can get hot.
How likely is it that our first 3 picks will all be in our top 5 prospect when the lusts come out before next season?
Definitely seems possible unless they take a Beau Phillip type to save money with one of those picks.
Mississippi is a fun team to follow right now, with the recent promotions. Shuster is looking and more unchallenged at AA—he struck out another 8 over 6 tonight, with 3/1/1 H/BB/ER. Grisson is still on a tear, and already has four steals at AA. Malloy is still showing great plate discipline and game power—would be interesting to know how he's faring as a defender in LF. And Lisandro Santos is now fully on the radar after moving to pure relief; Longenhagen says he "sits 96-98 mph and will touch 99, but he’s a 20-grade athlete with a very inconsistent delivery", something I think you can live with from a pure reliever, especially when the stuff is there and the walk-rate is trending in the right direction. Lastly, Dylan Dodd has also been fire both before and after his promotion.
Obviously the focus is on the recently-drafted, and what they can do to elevate the system, but there's a few guys at Mississippi who could really help the team's prospect depth if they keep performing as they have thus far.
Who was the guy k’n like 15+ per 9 earlier this season. Can’t believe I’ve already forgotten his name
