Spring Training Gamethread/Discussion

A buddy of mine and I were having a discussion on about Schafer today and neither of us could remember the name of the CF he was in a position battle when he first came up. What was the other guys name. I think we traded him, maybe to Det?

Wasn't harang really nasty a few years ago

Game was on Sports South (Tigers broadcast). Harang didn't impress me. Velocity and movement were so so, about what I expected. He doesn't appear to have an out pitch. But he's got good control and will let the bad hitters get them selves out. Got hit pretty hard late.

Kind of a wash between him and Freddy, IMO, he'll be a little more consistent than Freddy would have been but Freddy could be good when he's hitting the corners with his off speed stuff and Harang just throws hittable strikes at this point.

I pretty much agree with this assessment.

What are you talking about? This is the only thing I've been negative about.

The point is... in your world if anyone is negative against something you don't agree with, you blow a gasket and complain all day long about how negative we are... but if you are negative about something its completely justified and its okay. You're a double standard machine.

No, no, no. I was talking about the people who never say anything positive about the Braves. All they ever do is post negative things. Those are the people I have a problem with.

Ah, Josh Anderson. That kinda reminds of the talk at the time of how much better is was and that the minor league numbers meant nothing; because "his swings looks good and he's obviously improved. Gilesfan, you just don't project growth from any hitters."

See Ramiro Pena, who is much older than when we had the Josh Anderson discussion.

Belatedly breaking down that damn Harang's outing on Thursday.

Decent for nearly five innings, but Cabrera hit a ball about 10 miles to wipe out lead.

Schafer and BJ homered, and arguably those two needed a big day the most. BJ also had a walk. Schafer a SB

Freeman sac fly.

Second straight outing Kimbrel failed finish his inning. Thomas bailed out a jam.
