Spring Training Gamethread/Discussion

In fairness that last inning had some bad luck with the third strike that got away and the misplay in center.

Overall not super impressed though. Velocity was good at least.

My God, are we going to argue all year over two 'past their prime' pitchers who are (at best) fifth starters/ longman bullpen relief pitchers? Guess it's better than worrying about your starting 8 like some teams have to do...

The only thing that bothers me about his replies is"smdh"or "smh"stuff. Has to be the dumbest thing ever. I guess its a young person thing.

Harang is awful. So is Freddy Garcia, anyone who lets a couple starts last year think otherwise is a fool. We should have signed Scott Baker.

This response is not necessary. He has a right to feel the way he does.

Not the point.

He's calling out people in the offseason for being negative yet he's doing the same if not worse lately.

The irony.

Our wise master can correct me if I'm out of line but I do not think that the types of responses that you provided are productive at all. I would appreciate it if you refrain from doing so in the future.

Other than that pitch he harang against Cabrera, he didn't look too awful. Nice velocity and movement.

Thanks for posting that. I didn't get to see or hear any of the game today, and the box looked ugly. I'm relieved to hear that.

Game was on Sports South (Tigers broadcast). Harang didn't impress me. Velocity and movement were so so, about what I expected. He doesn't appear to have an out pitch. But he's got good control and will let the bad hitters get them selves out. Got hit pretty hard late.

Kind of a wash between him and Freddy, IMO, he'll be a little more consistent than Freddy would have been but Freddy could be good when he's hitting the corners with his off speed stuff and Harang just throws hittable strikes at this point.

Noticed 93 a few times. That's a bit faster than I expected. Means he could probably hit 95 if he absolutely had to.
