GDT 8/7/22: Braves @ Mutts - Series Finale

Now that we've gotten out of that mess, hopefully Showalter may have iced his own pitcher. I can hope, can't I?

Perhaps. Facing them reminds me of facing the dodgers in 2019 and 2020 in the playoffs with how hard they were to k and the PAs were grueling. Of course, the dodgers would pop a hr on you with 2 strikes

Braves K 5% more than the Mets due to their approach, which leads to an ISO that’s higher by 0.042. The overall result is 2 offenses that have scored almost exactly the same number of runs.

deGrom is a create-a-player.

Honestly….No…He’s just a MFer that ain’t pitched in almost 2 years. He’s the best no doubt but he should be extra rejuvenated…Surprise his isn’t tapping cat 4 Hurricane winds on his fastball. He’s a joy to watch but he won’t finish the season.

Aaaaand here comes the blaming of the ump for degroms success.

Predictable.

Who’s blaming the ump? He had an egregiously bad strike call that took the count from 2-1 to 2-2 instead of 3-1. deGrom doesn’t need that kind of help.
