GDT 8/15/22: Braves vs Mutts - Ready for Revenge

Assuming strider had one or two simulated innings during the rain. If we get two more Innings I look at it as a win.
 
Just saw the eyeballs bomb. If a pitcher misses up and in they are likely to pay for it, and that seems to be the only place he can do damage.

I think Joely Rodriguez is the Mets only LHP. I think I prefer Rosario’s defense for 6 innings and 2 at bats versus a RH.

Ozuna is such a waste of a roster spot.

Problem is, with it only being the 3rd inning and a bullpen game now, Rodriguez probably isn’t pitching more than two innings and I don’t think the Mets have a slew of lefty options in the pen. That potentially puts you at a platoon disadvantage for the rest of the game. And it wasn’t like it was a prime scoring opportunity.

I’m fine with it either way to be honest.

Think AA is going to sell ozuna to the highest bidder in the offseason. And by highest bidder Probabaly anyone for 5-10m a year.

I can’t imagine he fetches even that. If he were a free agent I don’t think he gets 2/10m.

Best case scenario is Ozuna is moved in a bad contract swap.

You could find a bad team with an open DH that will bank on speculating for a season or two if ozuna is hitting and they sell him at a future trade deadline.

I think the Braves have a better shot prescribing him ringworm medicine and saving some of that money in a suspension.

To Ozuna’s credit he does seem like a good clubhouse guy. You never see him mope around.
