Around the Majors - 2022 Version

There isn’t, which is the dumbest **** of all-time. That means the 110-win Dodgers could potentially have to play the 100-win Braves in a best of 5, while the 2nd seeded Mets get to play the 6th seed, which at this point would be about an 85-win Phillies team.

If I was a Dodger fan I would be livid if that scenario plays out.

I know we shouldn't expect anything less of MLB, but this should have been a no-brainer to structure it like the NFL does.

Didn't they also put a limit on how many guys you can bring up in September? If that is the case, you're probably going to see a lot of older non-contributing players get sent down or DFA'd so they can get a look at AAA guys at the major league level

The active roster increases to a maximum of 28 in September

That's a good thing. I can remember in the Braves' Dark Ages of the late-80s, it seemed like there were 35 guys in the dugout. When teams are fully out of it, I imagine they are tempted to have the September version of spring training and just trot guys out there to see if they know how to hit the cut-off man. It's embarrassing.

Watching Yanks/Mets...

God the DH sucks. Vogelbach is SO FAT. He's so ****ing fat and it's embarrassing for the sport.

I'd rather only have 8 guys hit than have fat asses like this in pro baseball. I'd rather watch hitters hit all 9 spots in the order. He has no business in the major leagues and should be playing beer league softball with the other fat, unathletic slobs.

Vogelbach actively makes me feel sick but he’s obviously very popular because of his body (in the same way Colon was - who btw also looked disgusting).

Live and let live I guess.

And yet the Atlanta Braves let the fat mother****er score from first on a base hit.

This made me chuckle, so thanks for that.

I agree. Hate the DH. But it's here to stay, so I just deal with it.

lmao. at least he tried

They were legitimately good the first few years after the World Series when Moreno came in with a bunch of cash and they signed Vlad, Bartolo, Escobar, etc. I think they won the AL West five straight years.

Braves might have a best case scenario. So much cash that they can afford a high payroll with no ownership figure to meddle in baseball ops. Who would have thought after two decades do corporate ownership it would finally have a benefit.
