GDT Opening Day - Braves @ Brewers - 3/31/2014

Just followed the last few innings on Gameday.

I didn't enter the +/- on Braves' performance for 2014, but I really wonder about Gattis. I know it's extremely early, but I don't think he's going to get anywhere near he got last season. Hope I'm wrong.

That said, we still get to play 162 games.

How many times did the Braves strikeout today? I bet it wasn't as many as the Mets. They racked up 18 strikeouts today.

In case no one's mentioned it . . . **** abusive husband/boyfriend/son-in-law Francisco Rodriguez.

If Fredi keeps this line up I could see a Brewers sweep. Teheran deserved better.

Been saying it through the pitching injuries....more worried about offense than pitching.

Tehran didn't have his best stuff and still held them to 2 runs. Braves are going to have ok overall offensive numbers, but I think we're going to get shut out a lot.

Not too worried overall. Braves will be good. I always try to be the positive guy, but one thing Im worried about is Gattis. His approach is umm, hmmm,.... I have seen better. Really hope he figures something out.

Lineup didnt matter.

No one hit that well.

Nonsense, BJ had a big effect on first inning when Brewers starter was struggling to throw strikes. Then again killed another rally when he should've walked. If that doesn't happen and Justin is in that spot (Justin did well today) then we likely get some runs.

That's what feast or famine offensives do and ours will be no different from last year. I suspect the Braves will be top 5 in runs scored and the fewest runs allowed like last year. Should put the club in a good spot for the playoffs.

Possibly. But who really knows. The difference between the worst possible lineup and best possible lineup over the course of a full season isn't that great. Maybe the difference between 2 wins or so. In the end these things even out.

Dont remember the first inning.

But in the grand scheme of things i dont think it would of mattered.

He got screwed on a 2-1 pitch which changed the entire AB when 2 runners were on.

Minus that, we had maybe 1-2 other times with a runner on base.
