GDT: 30 Aug 22…Rockies vs Braves 7:20 pm

They didn’t try to sell us on Grossman being anything other than a very good weak side platoon guy, which is exactly what he is. The problem is Rosario isn’t holding up his end of the bargain, plus Grossman is being forced to play a lot against RHP due to Acuña and Rosario’s injuries.

Grossman is the least of our problems in the OF right now.
 
Yeah we’d be in a much better spot if Ozuna didn’t suck and if his solution to fixing his slump wasn’t partying in Gwinnett at 3 a.m.
 
If ozuna isn't gonna be cut, he probably needs to get some ABs. He has potential, and I feel like TDA is better when he isn't playing every day

Cut him!!!

I know most of you agree, and there must be some reason it isn't happening, but he is nothing but a distraction, and just "not talking about it" is not going to solve the problem.

Has there been any resolution to the DUI/Lane change ticket?

So I gather that no determination of guilty or non guilt. People screaming for Ozuna to be released need to consider that Braves being a corporate owned entity would risk jobs for lots of people other than Ozuna if they threw $35-40M out the door. Sadly not all shareholders are baseball fans.
 
IF - and a huge if at that - Ozuna was going to be released if they're not going to try to find somebody to at least take a portion of his money this winter, I wonder if that might come next week.

Going to need to free up a spot on the 40-Man Roster when Ozzie is activated, and the only other "real" candidate for release is Rylan Bannon. I assumed the guy they'd turn loose when Ozzie's ready would be Adrianza, but since Ozuna's useless defensively I guess it's not completely out of the realm of possibilities that they drop Ozuna instead. They'd probably like to hang onto Bannon since he still has options left and could be part of the mix in Gwinnett next spring, which makes it seem to me that Adrianza OR Ozuna will be dropped and the other one might be the one sent packing when rosters are cut back to 26 for the playoffs.
