Soroka's injury was major. I have no issue playing it slow and safe with him. I still expect him to get 1-3 MLB starts before the post season to evaluate how he's looking against major leaguers
The starting rotation is really strong right now, so I don’t see a role for him this year.
What I think the Braves will do is pitch Soroka in the final series against Miami (assuming the division is decided by then). The Marlins are essentially a AAA lineup so hopefully he gets good results to build on heading into a full offseason to strengthen his body and be ready to challenge for a rotation spot in spring.
