It might be a smart call not to pay Dansby what he's looking for, but anyone who thinks he can be cheaply replaced with great ease and no pain is kidding themselves.

He can be replaced, even improved upon, with great expense. Those options are at least out there this off-season.

But it is looking more and more like the easiest, most painless option is to re-sign him, if he's willing to re-sign at a reasonable rate, and (perhaps more importantly) reasonably early in the off-season.

Dansby will no doubt get the QO and it’ll hurt him more than the other guys. I’ve said it before but best case scenerio for us is it scares off some teams and we get Dansby for 1 more year.

I can’t believe the first place Braves lost the division back in April when they went 2-2 against the Reds at home.

I think the best case scenarios are (a) Swanson signs for something like 6/$120m, or (b) the team backs up the Brinks for Trea Turner.

After two straight World Series titles I think they’ll have multiple brinks trucks ready at an opportune time.
