She advocates for a Christian theocracy. I am sure atheists like me would be treated very fairly by these people.....

There is a long history of discrimination against atheists in this country. I havent seen any recent polls but not long ago atheists were the least trusted minority. I had to change jobs 2 years ago because my new boss was a crazy religious person who started harassing me and that was only 2 years ago. I have also had someone try to report me to the boss for being atheist, but in that case the boss told him she didnt care.

Christians have plenty of recent history of punishing fellow Christians (and Muslims and Jews, not sure about Atheists). See Northern Ireland, Missouri governor issuing extermination order against the Mormons, etc.

The founding fathers were wise to emphasize separation of church and state. I would have no interest in voting for a candidate that wanted to declare the US a Christian nation. Religion is amazing and does plenty of great works, but it works especially well when it’s grass roots community driven
