They weren't mocking anybody. It's called sarcasm. "Nice to have you back, Ozzie" is what Braves players and fans must've been saying. Jeez.

I have been a fan of the Braves for over 40 years and I literally shed tears over 1996, but a funny thing has happened in the last 26 years. I have grown up and realized the results of baseball games in the big picture really don't mean a damn thing. And yes, I find it funny if Freeman is able to come to Alex in 2041 at the 20-year reunion and say, "You know, no telling how many we win in a row if you had made me an offer I couldn't refuse."

AA offered 5/135 to Freddie. LA gave him 6/162 and 57 million of that is in deferred money. AA without a doubt gave him the best offer.

It’s possible that this team wins a couple and on it’s own. I think Freeman leaving has really let a lot of our players grow and mature in a way they wouldn’t have if he was still on the team.
