not only are the stakes different this time... but 57 himself - in this very thread - has suggested these candidates are modern day Hitler's

I believe once (D) makes the cynical choice to fund far-right (R)’s in their primaries as a political strategy, they lose all legitimacy to lecture the American public about how they’re saving democracy.

It’s really not more complicated than this.

On the contrary, there’s agreement between myself and (D) here. Neither of us particularly like MAGA, and neither of us actually believes they’re a legitimate threat to the future of our democracy.

My wife did her grad school at UC Davis and almost every day on campus there would be some sort of protest or rally on campus for climate change, LGBTQ rights… whatever the topic of the day was

Davis, CA mind you is many ways more liberal than Berkeley. I always asked myself who their intended audience was. Preaching to the choir

At this point, who takes these “threats to democracy” cries seriously? There’s no legitimacy left
