(D) spent 85 times the amount Trump’s PAC spent on a MAGA candidate to knock out Meijer, who was one of ten (R)’s who voted to impeach Trump.

It’s over …they aren’t allowed to claim they’re serious about preserving democracy.

Those were my own words…I didn’t post a tweet or something.

(D) is telling us the Republican Party is a threat to our democracy due to their election denying, fascist-adjacent ways. At the same time, they went out of their way to fund extreme right candidates in their primary races against more moderate (R)’s because they think they’ll be easier to defeat in the general election. If they were truly concerned that the extreme elements of (R) are a threat to the future of our republic, they wouldn’t have done so.

There are two choices:

1) you can legitimately believe the Republicans are fascists and not meddle in their elections to help get the worst of the lot nominated

Or

2) play politics - which is fine, no one is naive - but admit you’re full of **** when you claim the fate of democracy is at stake

But you can’t have it both ways. It ain’t hard.

Of course it’s been a political ploy for the ages, but today we’re told by (D) that the stakes are different than they were in the past given the fascism of the new Republican Party.

I guess you took option 2, which is fine.
