Vlad is in a tough spot. Even if he subjugates Ukraine the allies will back an insurgency that the Russians won't be able to handle. Of course, the Ukrainians will continue to suffer as well with Zelensky in charge because he won't relinquish Donbas, a region that doesn't event want to be part of Ukraine.
