2022 Elections

Early voting started October 7th. Dont act like they didnt have plenty of chances to vote. I do support allowing anyone to vote who can prove they were not able to because of these problems. What I dont support are people getting to vote now that had an option and turned it down. Unlike your side I actually support people getting to vote regardless of side.

"Under Georgia procedures, registered voters who have not cast ballots for three years are sent a notice asking them to confirm they still live at their address. If they don’t return it, they are marked inactive. If they don’t vote for two more general elections after that, they are removed from the rolls."

Looks like if the people were still there they could have responded to a simple mailing

"Using databases employed by commercial mailing firms, analysts commissioned by Palast’s group found that 334,134 of those citizens actually still live at the address they registered."

An unprovable accusation that could be based on erroneious data.

You gave this answer with zero self awareness. Lololololol.

Well the game has certainly changed from Election Day to Election Season I'll agree with you there.

Still doesn't change the Civil Rights Violations that took place in Maricopa country against GOP voters.

Show me some evidence that there was actually a significant number of people unable to vote because of the issue. I would wholeheartedly support allowing those people to vote. All you have given is an hypothetical voter that didnt get to vote. There is no chance the amount is anywhere close to the margin of victory and that assumes every vote would have been for Karen Lake.

The all star game was moved out of Atlanta and the president accused GA of Jim crow on steroids for long wait lines

That wasn’t a Pro-Long Lines sentiment. People have a right to be mad if the process was slowed down, but it doesn’t mean the election gets re-done.

Oh you mean like common sense like people needing to go to work?

This is a wild response given some of the well-documented lines and wait times that have been brushed off in previous elections in larger population centers. I mean, why do you think there was even a debate on handing out food and water to people waiting to vote? That isn’t a problem if people aren’t waiting a long time to vote.

Yeah its great they all of a sudden want to admit causing long lines in specific places is a way to manipulate the vote. From my experience with them they wont connect the dots. Instead they just want special treatment instead of fixing the problem for everyone.

Arizona dodged a bullet. I can’t think of a more concerning character trait than cheering for Todd in Breaking Bad.

The waters was a cover to give up other considerations to induce voting. Continue to pretend this is the same argument.

Machines coincidentally “went down” in heavier GOP areas during the heaviest GOP voting times. All from a county that contributes to PACs to “STOP MAGA”.

So, 2 weeks since the election, Republicans are confirmed to have control of the house, still not a peep from Republicans about investigating the ballot fraud Trump claims he had the FBI shut down in Florida in 2018. Very odd for the party who insists voter fraud is real. Anyone wanna clue me in as to why Republicans dont want to investigate this?

I need the rest of the country to take a good look at Oakland right now.

A city whose newly elected mayor, Sheng Thao, is a renter who defeated

a pro-cop, pro-developer, pro-landlord candidate heavily backed by

the city’s current mayor and Big Real Estate.

I want to congratulate Loren Taylor on the strong campaign he ran. He and his family have been making a difference for this city for generations and we owe him a real debt of gratitude. 2/13

I also want all Oaklanders who voted for another candidate to know I will do everything I can to earn your trust. I will be a Mayor for all of Oakland. 3/13

I’m very excited to get to work as Mayor in January, but I’m also very humbled to be here. 15 years ago, I was living in my car with my baby. I’ve been through a lot to get to this moment, and have had so many people lift me up in order to get here. 5/13

As we get to work, I’m going to focus on the top priorities which we spelled out in the campaign, which I know are also the priorities of Oaklanders. 6/13

On Day One, we will begin putting in place the comprehensive public safety plan we laid out during the campaign. That involves doubling down on the violence prevention programs that we know reduce violent crime, addressing root causes of crime by working to create more jobs…7/13

Moving forward, we are going to work to make Oakland the most proactive city in California on housing and homelessness. We’re going to have an aggressive housing policy that protects renters, fights displacement, and treats our unhoused with the dignity they deserve. 9/13

And I’m a renter myself. So our tenants should know that I’m going to be a Mayor who has their back. 10/13

We are going to make sure we support our small businesses, to make it easier for them to open, to thrive, and to contribute to our city. 11/13

We will bring a Green New Deal to Oakland, to put our people to work and protect our environment. We’ll build a more responsive city government, one that returns our calls in a timely manner and focuses like a laser on keeping our streets clean, safe, and vibrant. 12/13

I have never felt more hopeful about Oakland’s future, or more determined to lead the fight for it. I’m excited to get to work building the safer, more affordable, more just Oakland we know is possible in the months and years ahead. 13/13

Self-inflected voter suppression is a thang in GOP circles...including via deaths induced among their most loyal voters
