A lot of times the first big contract out of the gate will set the parameters of the market, but this one is so off-the-wall that it might not.

They're not in on Judge but in said scenario... Probably BP pitchers, Senga, Bassit, Taillon, Nimmo/outfielders, maybe one of the shortstops.

Martino said they want one of Rodon/Verlander and one of Heaney/Walker/Senga/Gibson/Quintana/Stripling as the other SP. Didnt say anything about offense but would assume they'll push hard to keep Nimmo now.

Could be true. But the Mets were pretty open about not wanting to go 4 years or beyond. There is also an article where the Mets tried to extend him in 21 offering 1 and 2 year deals. He asked for 5 years / $190m which they immediately said no.
