The Braves recently agreed to minor league contracts with a number of players, according to an announcement from Double-A broadcaster Chris Harris (Twitter link). Among those joining the organization: infielder Adeiny Hechavarria, outfielders Magneuris Sierra and Forrest Wall, and reliever Brian Moran. All four players will get non-roster invitations to Spring Training. Kiley McDaniel of ESPN first reported Wall’s signing yesterday.

I think both are. But did he commit sexual assault?

I know the penalty for both and sexual assault is a much harsher sentence. So yes, by law there are degrees. But this isn’t about law or we wouldn’t even be talking about this since he was not convicted.

The best he has to offer is that it was maybe consensual abhorrent behavior.

Not really a question of whether he's a terrible guy or not. Admittedly he is.

What if she gets off on that too?

I have to agree. If both parties are into it then how does it make them bad people? He had text from her on multiple occasions saying she wanted to do all of that stuff. She was out for money plain and simple. When you’re in his position with that kind of money you can’t put yourself in a lot of situations bc you can’t trust anybody.

I think you can safely assume that if a woman tells you they want to be choked, they want their ass slapped, etc. as she did in her texts, she isn't asking to be punched in the face or to have you stick it in a different hole. I'm willing to bet that a whole lot of very wealthy people have partners who like it rough but who don't end up in court.

Texted she wanted him to be rough.
He was rough.
She came back for more.
Personally I think both are nut cases

There are still lines to not cross when someone says they like it rough.

If I tell you I really enjoy violence- its my favorite thing in the world it gets my adrenaline going and it gets me off- you're still going to prison if you stab me in the ribs and kill me.

But agree with your final takeaway.

Anyone who derives sexual pleasure out of doing what he did to her, whether she asked for it or not, shows a very disturbed individual. Not to mention being stupid. Here you are making millions of dollars and and a famous baseball player. This begs for crap like this to be made public.

Asking someone to do something illegal (assault) to you does not suddenly make the act legal.

Doing something awful to someone because they asked you to do it does not suddenly make the act un-awful...nor does it suddenly make you right for doing it.

If I ask you to beat me with a boat oar, and then you beat me with a boat oar, you will still face the consequences of beating me with a boat oar when I tell someone about it. If I then come back and ask to be beaten again, you will still face consequences for beating me with the boat oar. Me asking to be beaten with a boat oar doesn't suddenly make it OK for you to beat me with a boat oar.

I'm confused where the confusion lies. Bauer is out of trouble because rich people tend to get out of trouble, not because he's some innocent party.

Is bondage illegal or is it legal bc of consent?
