The Trump Presidency

People wanted to hear from fauchi whether you wanted to or not.

I understand libertarians are by nature selfish but the above sentence is a stone cold fact.

Ok so just so I'm following you.

Trump made the right decision by putting Fauci on stage, despite him giving horrific advice, because people wanted to hear from Fauci

And you believe this is a defense of Trump's leadership?

In hindsight it was obviously a bad move. Hindsight is not a benefit decision makers get though.

No they aren’t. BL says everyone should take them.

When did trump say that?

here are some direct quotes for you to make excuses for

“We took care of a lot of people — including, I guess, on December 21st, we took care of Joe Biden, because he got his shot, he got his vaccine. … It shows you how unpainful that vaccine shot is... So everybody, go get your shot.”

“I would recommend it to a lot of people that don’t want to get it and a lot of those people voted for me, frankly.”

“The federal pause on the J&J shot makes no sense,” Trump said, adding: “Just six people out of the nearly 7 million who’ve gotten the Johnson & Johnson vaccine reported blood clots.” “Indeed, this moronic move is a gift to the anti-vax movement,” Trump said. “The science bureaucrats are fueling that deranged pseudoscience.”

“I’m all in favor of the vaccine. It’s one of the great achievements, a true miracle, and not only for the United States. We’re saving tens of millions of lives throughout the world. We’re saving entire countries... The vaccine is a great thing, and people should take advantage of it,”

At a rally in Arizona, Trump said, “I recommend you take it, but I also believe in your freedoms 100 percent.”

“Now one thing: When you have the vaccine, people that do [get infected] — and it’s a very small number relatively, but people that do get it — get better much quicker,” Trump said. “And it’s very important to know. They don’t get nearly as sick, and they get better... So once you get the vaccine, you get better,”

“I recommend take the vaccines,” he said. “It’s good. I did it. Take the vaccines.”

“The vaccines do work,” Trump said on a conservative talk-radio show. “And they are effective. So here’s my thing: I think I saved millions and millions of lives around the world.”

He added: “And now countries are using our vaccines, and it’s tremendous. It’s tremendously successful.”

“Look, the results of the vaccine are very good, and if you do get (Covid), it’s a very minor form. People aren’t dying when they take the vaccine,”

“The ones that get very sick and go to the hospital are the ones that don’t take their vaccine. But it’s still their choice, and if you take the vaccine, you are protected,”

“I came up with a vaccine, with three vaccines. All are very, very good. Came up with three of them in less than nine months,

I can't make excuses for how Trump handled the vaccine - I've only said that he never once indicated that it should be mandated and to me that was always the most important thing.

People do drugs everyday that they know could do them harm. But if the person decides to do that then its their decision.

Someone I know used to be about that more than anything.

our arguments always result in you demonstrating a clear inability to understand my position

i believe anyone can do whatever the hell they want.

but earlier you said trump only recommended the vaccine to old people. that is false. he recommended it to everyone, just like BL.

they are perfectly alligned..

This is fair - I'll tweak it a bit. Trump specifically said it should still be peoples choice. And again - That was always the most important thing to me.

If you believe the vaccine is as bad as I believe you do, how can you support a candidate for president who believes it is amazing and everyone should take it?

Isn't that an example of terrible judgement with something of massive consequences, and does not have the excuse of hindsight being 20/20

More election fraud by team Trump as they are forced to pay $450,000 by the courts.

Do these people do anything other than break laws and scam money??? Apparently not.

I believe the vaccine cost/benefit makes absolutely no sense for healthy people. That’s always been my position. It’s why I drive my dad to get it in the first place.

It does nothing but harm healthy people but provides benefit to those who are at risk.

and you think the leader of the party telling everyone they should get it, with all the known data we have, is excusable?

I've never once contended that Trump is perfect.

If you could show me that I'd apologize to you right now.

Yes - It is a mistake to encourage healthy people to take the vaccine.

You are very generous to his shortcomings compared to some other candidates
