Economics Thread

Tell us more stock tips.

I think no one is gonna look a gift horse in the mouth

Dude. I write a monthly column for a business journal. Next week I'm speaking on a panel on the outlook for the economy and stock/bond markets. It's my profession.

I learned a long time ago to always use stop losses as a discipline for when a trade moves against you and to put it back on when the momentum shifts. I've been fortunate to have worked on a trading floor for many years and learn from some pretty good traders.

So when you were first instructing me to short TSLA, I assume you had quite a fast loss... Then had to wait a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time to be able to.successfully.short it, which would have worked quite well with most tech stocks

Such a genius!

News flash: trading will often result in a loss.

Corollary: good traders learn the discipline necessary to control risk and stick with a good idea even when the market moves against them for a time

I would love to know the timing and scale of your shorts on TSLA

Guess we're not gonna get this one.

We will just take his word that he made a bunch of money shorting TSLA while the stock was doubling haha

Just like we will take his word he paid his $100 bet

I am Cramer. Well, a little younger with hair. Wonder if we'll get another tearful apology from him. Always makes for compelling viewing.
