Looking at the tweet above there is the implication that testing is a bad idea. very poorly chosen one is criticizing DeSantis for "testing,testing,testing." My view, often expressed around here, is that testing offered us an opportunity to avoid the terrible choices we were making between lives and livelihoods. very poorly chosen one otoh seemed to believe that "no testing no virus." A sort of fantasy world in which you can make a problem go away by burying your head in the sand.

I might add that very poorly chosen one rightfully should take pride in the vaccines developed during Operation Warp Speed. They have saved millions of lives in this country and even more around the world. If he wants a line of attack against DeSantis that would be a more logical one. I hope my GOP friends take the vaccine and live long enough to vote in 2024. They shouldn't listen to FOX and others who have been flooding them with deza about the vaccines being unsafe and ineffective. Even at this late date lives continue to be lost because of these lies.

I agree, I can disagree with DeSantis on issues but he isnt a deranged lunatic. He proved everything people said about him correct with his actions post election. I remember when they used to mock us saying he wasnt leaving without a fight.

DeSantis is more or less a standard politician. Not the worst not the best. But he is sane, which is a standard that I never thought would have any significance until very poorly chosen one came along.

People in 2016 knew Trump was a crooked carnival barker.
People that voted DeSantis in November had no way of knowing he would use state funds to round up asylum seekers in Texas then fly them to Mass. in the dead of winter.

Trump campaigned on a Muslim ban.

The claim made in the article's headline was debunked by several news outlets. Twitter users added a fact check to Lake's tweet stating that Soros did not endorse DeSantis.

Newsweek has contacted Lake's team for comment.

"Governor Ron DeSantis hasn't even announced his plans for 2024, but that has not stopped the attacks from coming," said Fox News host Trey Gowdy on Sunday, in a clip that has since been shared on Twitter.

"This attack was from a failed Republican gubernatorial candidate in Arizona. Three months ago, she thought Ron DeSantis was the best thing since sliced bread. Now, she wants you to think Governor DeSantis was endorsed by George Soros. Of course, it's not true, but why let the truth get in the way?"
