2024 Field

I guess you aren't familiar with Florida's historical growth rates.

I have also forgotten about Charlie Christ and Rick Scott banning CRT in school and taking on Disney's special exemptions over their woke bull****

It is clear you are going to think however trump tells you to think

You think that is the reason people are coming to Florida in similar rates that they have the past twenty years?

No I think he's no better than his predecessors, and I will decide to ignore the election landslide he just had that escaped his predecessors somehow

I'm aware you refuse to look at trendlines and data to come to your conclusions in this area.

Its ok - You can't be perfect.

Yes you have two points.

1. Migration to Florida has been the trend for years

2. DeSantis uniquely slaughtered his opponent due to recent migration trends, not his governance

I tend to think those two things contradict each other but this is the part where you explain I'm simply not smart enough to understand

I said Desantis won by his margins for multiple reasons:

1 - Hes an awesome governor
2 - FL voting registration has been moving towards Reublican for a long time
3 - Pandemic had more localized migration from blue state republicans
4 - The Democrats are so bad normal people in the middle decided to switch

The sturg of a year ago would agree with me that without the cheating Trump wins in 2020 by a lanslide margin and there isn't this absurd narrative that Desantis can win elections and Trump can't.

Trump also increased his vote count in FLorida from 16--> 20 by 23%.

So yes Sturg - Despite you not wanting to admit the obvious the RED STATE of Florida was well in the bag.

Vote counts are irrelevant.

Trump increased his share of vote from 49% to 51%... About a 4% change in his favor

DeSantis grew his share from 49% to 59%, or about a 20% change in his favor

Increase vote count absolutely matters because of the type of voters that were turning towards MAGA and they followed suit in even bigger droves for Desantis (Because Desantis is awesome and the left got crazier and crazier).

The idea that there would be a 50/50 split with hispanics was a laughing matter just 5 years ago.

The math is the math

You can explain to me that that trend would have happened with or without DeSantis. And I will simply tell you that I disagree. He has turned voters previously on the sidelines or with the Dems to the R side much more effectively than trump has

He did? Or did COVID overreach do that?

I think its both but to pretend that the COVID tyranny didn't move voters minds is wishful thinking.

Well it's pretty telling that trump is on record loudly criticizing DeSantis for not doing enough to stop COVID

Trying to emulate trump in his speech and mannerisms doesn’t make him trump either.

What really going to bug the desantis people is that lake long term has a better chance at the presidency than Desantis if he doesn’t win nomination this year.

Laugh now. Forget you ever had this position in a couple of years is your destiny.

It is so bizarre to me how the trump cult has just turned on DeSantis for no other reason than he is a threat to trump.

He's done nothing but outperform since trump endorsed him. Trumpers should see him as nothing but a success story. Instead, we get deranged delusions..

But let's take a look at your premise.

DeSantis INCREASED GOP vote share by 20% from the 2018 governor election to 2022

Lake DECREASED GOP vote share by 10% from the 2018 governor election to 2022. Turning a reliably red state to blue

Should I look at results on the field or something else in this case (yes I'm well aware you're gonna say she was cheated so the results don't count)
