It's OVER 5,000!
Wood is over 100 pitches now, probably get a loss but other than the solo homer he was great. No support though.

Well, Heyward took the day off afterall. Come on BJ!
When your 1 and 2 hitters are a combined 6/55 (.109), your offense is going to struggle.
He shouldn't have gone out for the 7th. Pushing Wood and Teheran is going to destroy our future. His fastball isn't even hitting 90 now.

Not a joke. If we wouldn't have had injuries, Wood was going to be in the bullpen to keep his innings down...now we have him going over 100 pitches and having a 3-4 MPH drop off his fastball.
I think this is a bit extreme. I'm happy that we are extending Julio and Alex. The science isn't certain on what exactly is damaging these pitchers.

So why take unnecessary risks?
wow, seriously? The guy just went 7 IP and only allowed 2 runs and this is what you say? Ok
Also, for everyone conceding a loss with 5 outs left and only down a run please just turn off the computer/smartphone/etc. and take a nap.

Which approach is the unnecessary risk? I'm not sure and I don't think anyone is.
