Late post, but this was mentioned in another thread and I had no idea.

When I was making my road trip a few years ago hiking in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, clvclv and I were supposed to have dinner for some North Carolina BBQ. He was an hour from where I had hiked (Mount Mitchell State Park). Plans fell though unfortunately, as he was taking care of his sick father. We spoke on the phone for a solid 45 minutes or so as I was driving back towards Asheville, this was shortly after the Game 7 Dodgers COVID-NLCS in Texas. He really wanted to come out and meet with me, but his father was in rough shape. I regret we never crossed paths. He was in Atlanta a few times I happened to be in town for the weekend, but he had other things going on. And the few times I was in the Asheville area, he couldn't break from his work and caretaking schedule.
Love him or hate him, you knew he was a constant on this board with us for many many years. He enjoyed making those projected payroll spreadsheets, and people always gave him **** for quoting his own 6 paragraph posts, and responding with even more paragraphs.
He was an OG member of the Scout community, dating even before that @Metaphysicist could expound on that a bit more.
One of my favorite laughs, was looking up the web search data and traffic of this little website, and one of the leading google searches that lead to this website was "What is a clvclv?"
It appears clvclv passed away almost a week exactly to the year our old friend rico43 also made the walk across the chalk to the Field of Dreams. May they both be having a cup of coffee watching a game up there somewhere.
Rest easy my friend.
