WBC Title Game- USA vs JAPAN

What an amazing tournament - and this thing is damn brilliant by MLB to expand their sport -
Can’t believe how much I enjoyed watching these games - felt just like the Olympics or World Cup soccer - loved it!
I bet all Japanese kids are jumping like crazy - good for them !

I wonder how many kids skipped school in Japan today. It's noon there right now.
 
You guys catch Bloopers tweet before he/someone took it down? I’m all about Freedom of Speech but there’s a lot of people upset about it on that tweet
 
Something like ‘I can’t believe we lost to anime’


A lot of the replies are ‘racist team name, racist chants and racist mascot’
 
Not sure how that’s racist. That’s like if we won and someone from Japan tweeted, “I can’t believe we lost to daytime soap operas”.

What’s the problem?
 
Only thing I think that could be better (besides having our top pitchers play) is to make the championship a best 2 of 3
 
USA’s pitching was terrible. We took all of our best hitters and none of the pitchers wanted to go. If say Scherzer and Fried would have went things would have gone different.
 
so in all fairness, giving up 3 runs in the title game while only scoring 2 is more on the offense than the pitching. Maybe those guys shut out Japan, but I would think most people would take 3 runs against prior to the game with that offense. To me from what I watched it was just sequencing bad luck that team USA didn't score more.
