Wrapping up this endless foreign policy back and forth.
There is no perfect candidate for me. That candidate ran in 2008 and 2012 and I voted for him both times... and the person in this thread called me a child for doing so.
So now I am looking at RDS and Trump (and others).
Trump has a 4 year track record to look at.
- Great on not being aggressive on new wars
- Terrible on dropping bombs in the middle east
- Great at perusing diplomacy first
- Terrible at escalatory rhetoric
- Terrible at hiring deep state MIC stooges
- Terrible at cutting back spending that would handicap our ability to wage more war
RDS
- concerning track record of military involvement from 8 years ago
- has the correct rhetoric today on our biggest current military conflict & China
- has so far not shown a willingness to hire imbeciles like John Bolton
Trump has a longer track record and more to critique. That's the nature of the business. I see two imperfect candidates with wildly varying degrees of competence... and a substantial (and I mean substantial) upgrade in domestic policy
If Ron Paul runs again... I'll vote for him. If not, I'll support and financially back who I think is the best upgrade we can get to Joe Biden

Oh - and importantly... I see one candidate with a track record of losing elections and another candidate with a track record of winning them
