The DA ran on getting trump, so tell me why I shouldn't think this is political?
On top of that the basis of this case was about turning a misdemeanor into a felony in which every legit lawyer has said was BS.

He got elected, and then he started looking for a case. Trump was targeted. Maybe what Bragg found is legit, but there's no denying that trump was targeted bc of politics.

Bragg passed on more serious charges of insurance fraud last year. His judgment doesn't strike me as the best. With respect both to his decision not to prosecute the fraud cases and his decision to prosecute the porn star hush money case. It seems to me that very poorly chosen one has the John Edwards defense available. That he paid the hush money to protect his marriage. Remains to be seen if he avails himself of it.

The Grand Jury advised indictment based on there was enough evidence to warrant a trial.

Not that two wrongs make a right. But some of the protestations about norms and politically motivated prosecutions ring hollow to my ears.
Yep. People who are not even Trump supporters are seeing the same thing in regards to what's going on with the dems' effort to get Trump.

I've never made a comment on that bc I didn't even know about it. I don't follow politics that much. I can't stand the divisive nature of politics these days.
ETA... it's gone beyond disagreements over positions to hating other side. We will bring down our great country by hating each other

and then there was the attempt to strong-arm Zelenskyy into announcing an investigation into the Bidens...as i recall y'all were fine with that too and didn't express too many concerns about our great country being torn down by hating each other
from why I sit...any poor judgement on Bragg's part pales in contrast to the prosecutorial misconduct of Barr and Durham, the weaponizing of the IRS against McCabe and Comey and holding up Congressionally appropriated military aid to extort personal political benefit from a vulnerable country
