GDT: 4/19 Braves @ Padres: Get Away Day

Wonder if TDA becomes DH. He probably needs to walk away from catching before he scrambles his brain one too many times

I've heard this talked about a lot and I think it's the right move for him personally.

Split duties between him and Rosario so TD is in the lineup most days. He may still catch but it needs to be really infrequent. With MH3 likely coming back soon as well, I'd like to see:

Acuna RF
Olson 1B
Riley 3B
Murphy C
d'Arnaud/Rosario DH
Albies 2B
Grissom SS
Hilliard/Ozuna/Rosario LF (look, Ozuna is going nowhere)
Harris CF

Only caught half the game but yeah.....the ump was god awful
97% called ball accuracy
98% called strike accuracy

Ump was pretty good

“Ump favored X team by X runs” is the RBI of umpires metrics.

Overall he may have been. But the Soto and Kim ABs were egregious. Critical points in the game that could have led to the Padres taking the lead and changing the course of the game.

You think a missed pitch in the 2nd inning with 2 outs and no one on weighs equally with a missed pitch in a scoring situation?

I mean - stupid question because of course. But I think someone who did 98% of his job right deserves to be a cut a little slack

It's so nice to see seeing eye singles again.

Also, two 940 starts ended by midnight EDT.

The new rules are awesome.
