Trump trashing Florida is a bold strategy considering desantis is wildly popular there. Maybe trump will just walk away

The sad part is its working. Heres how DeSantis should have put it when Trump first attacked him.


"I think its kind of sad that he is putting his time into trying to tear down other Republicans. We are in a full scale culture war against the left and win, lose, or draw in 2024 Trump wont be President after the 2028 elections. As we saw with President Trumps first term the left can and will tear down everything we do to improve the country as soon as they are back in power. President Trump should want to build up younger Republicans who can continue the MAGA legacy long after he is gone. Instead he tries to tear me down despite me not even being in the race. I have never even said a bad word about President Trump. If I run for the Republican nomination in 2024 it will be to give he American people more options. Thats what Democracy is about and with all due respect to the former President the voters decide who the nominee is going to be. If I run it will be to give people the option for voters who arent happy that federal spending went up under President Trump. If I run it will be for the voters who dont want RINOs like Jeff Sessions, Bill Barr, Chris Wray, John Bolton, and Mark Esper appointed to key positions. It will be for voters who dont want a President to do favors for Mitch McConnell like appointing his wife to transportation secretary. It will be for voters who dont want prosecutors who gave Epstein a sweetheart plea deal appointed to government positions. It will be for voters who want competent and secure elections. Here in Florida the election went off without a hitch and we had every vote counted shortly after closing time and we won in a massive landslide. So you know how an election with Ron DeSantis goes. I think Americans want a President who can stop the lefts cheating and ensure we have election integrity and dont want a guy who while President knowing the fraud was going to happen couldnt do anything to stop it. Win, lose, or draw President Trump wont be President past the 2024 term. We need more than 4 years of MAGA policy to fix this country. We need someone who can win not only in 2024 but in 2028. The most important thing is to make Biden a former President and I dont think tearing down other Republicans helps that goal. If I run I hope we have a positive race where we focus on policy and things that matter to the American people rather than giving Biden material to use in the general election to attack the eventual nominee"
 
The material is out there for some phenomenally juicy attack ads. The problem is the GOP has spent so much time and effort defending the idiocy that it doesn't know what to do with the material.
 
There were and are some good attack ads against Trump but they are exclusively done by Republicans. Democrats don't understand taking the high road doesn't work anymore.

I have no faith the cultists will allow anyone other than Trump and President Weekend at Bernie’s seems like a lock to be the 2024 nominee, I hope voters at least put some degree of pressure to select quality Veeps this go around because the odds have higher than 10% that whomever is elected dies in office.
