I don’t see how he has a position at the big league level. His defense at 2B wasn’t exactly stellar and his offensive profile doesn’t work without some defensive value. You can’t hit like Jack Wilson if you can’t field like Jack Wilson.

I think he'll be a good enough hitter to play 2b. 5 of the 6 of the predictors on fangraphs have him at 100+ wrc+. Last year was his first time to play 2b, and that was at the mlb level. Personally, I'd try to see if he can play lf, 3b, 2b, and ss, so we can actually give a day off to regulars more often.

Well he played his whole minor league career at SS and that experience didn’t seem to be worth much. 2B is also a really difficult defensive position. I’m not suggesting he couldn’t learn the position, but I have yet to see any signs of encouragement.
