Acuña has an average EV of 94.8 mph… that’s insane. That’s a whole mph over his crazy 2021 average and he’s had more events this year. Kinda weird his barrel percentage is lower though. May have something to do with his super high ground ball rate the first couple months?

We are only fans, so no matter how good things are, will find a way to complain about something, so here it goes...

As good as Ozuna has been, Murphy is also too good to literally be limited to playing 2 of every 3 games. I know we are talking true first world problems, and he was "coming off the injury" and I definitely agree with him resting on the Sunday day game almost every time - this is just a comment more broadly that its now been a long enough sample size to say that the rotation has 100% settled to he will not be allowed to play 3 days in a row and he is not in the DH rotation.

Snit is just so basic, that he settles in his own "routines" and refuses to use any basic judgement in line-up flexibility. With a DH, the fact Murphy can't even just once every 10 games get a DH spot absurd; the idea that Ozuna and Rosario need to play at a 162 game pace instead of 130-145 is also absurd. Heck, put Ozuna in left every few weeks and get Murphy at DH.

Again I don't think Murphy should be playing even 9 of every 10, but as a fan of the game, you want to watch elite players play, so it does just sort of suck to have Murphy sitting once every three games.

Even worse is the idea that Murphy is so fragile he can only play one of every three, but everyone else literally god forbid can't even rest once every 20 games is nuts. Like even Acuna, we should learn from last year, that getting him a spot DH is probably not the worst thing on his legs.

Just frustrating to see zero creativity from a manager in getting guys rest, and yet the one guy he rests is a top 10 player in baseball this year and has truly settled into being a platoon player.

How are we still complaining about Murphy’s playing time? Every minute we save of Murphy is a huge benefit for not only October, but future seasons as well. And it’s not like we are suffering with how well TDA and Ozuna are playing.

Sports are about watching players play. I'm all for load management but the idea that one of the best players in baseball will end up playing 100 games just strikes me as excessive load management when you have a DH.

The frustration is that he is not even able to crack the DH and more a frustration at how rigid Snit's line-up management is.

I mean if its about October, the division is a 95% chance of being won. Let's just shut down Strider the next 2 months and ramp him up in october. Let's bring Fried back in September. Lets start playing Acuna part time as well, maybe even shut him down given his injury history. Let's just ensure guys are healthy for October...

Murphy is going to end up with over 500 PA. Hyperbole much?
