I hope everyone understands the risk taken by the best offensive talent in the game every time he slides head first into a base. These stolen bases are not worth the risk.

He wants the 40/50 season or whatever he ends up with. Then I think he backs off the steals.
 
Maybe I’m misreading that, but I think Ozzie did that intentionally to keep Acuña from sliding into home. He immediately went to check on Acuña as soon as he was tagged out. What a team mate.

He has kept his pitch count reasonable despite it feeling like he goes to a three ball count way too often.

I agree, I think Acuna is insisting on doing it and the last thing we want to do is piss off the heavily underpaid MVP caliber talent.
