epps sues fox

If you still can't figure out that something is wrong with the whole Ray Epps story you need put down your MSM sources and try some critical thinking on your own.

Fox and Carlson will have an opportunity to defend their "reporting" in an adversarial setting. They can afford good attorneys who I'm sure will do their professional best.

You do have an interesting (but at least consistent) track record of saying bring it on with respect to such lawsuits. I have fond memories of you arguing if the various crackpot election theft theories you were espousing were not true why haven't Dominium or Smartmatic sued Fox. The good old days!

Fox caved because the Murdoch children have different views of what they want FoxCorp to be. You know this already....

If the accusation is defaming then bring it on.

Discovery will take a lot of time and should be revealing.

What discovery? Fox won't get any from the FBI because Epps doesn't work for the FBI. What they will get is a financial history that won't show any payments from the FBI.

He's being accused as an FBI agent worse than being accused as a treasonous indurrectionist?

For Epps it is. He was a harcore MAGA believer. As we're his friends and family. Many of whom believe Fox's lies about him. In his world he is in literal hell because everyone who believes in the same politics as him think he is a fed. It's just hilarious.

Your refusal to accept it doesnt make it any less true.

No I agree ya moron.

There would never ever be record of a financial transaction from the FBI to Ray Epps.

Its just amazing to me that you think there would be even if he was paid. You know with all your corrupt cops stories and all. I figured you learned a thing or two.

Is the FBI required to keep records of payments made to informants?

Yes, the FBI is required to keep records of payments made to informants. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires federal agencies to keep records of their activities, including payments made to informants. The FBI is also subject to the Attorney General's Guidelines on FBI Use of Confidential Human Sources, which require the FBI to keep records of all payments made to informants.

The records that the FBI must keep include the following:

The date of the payment
The amount of the payment
The purpose of the payment
The method of payment
The informant's signature
The records must be kept in a confidential file that is separate from the informant's case file. The records are subject to audit by the FBI's Office of Inspector General.

The purpose of keeping records of informant payments is to ensure that the payments are made in accordance with FBI policy and that the FBI is accountable for its use of taxpayer money. The records also help to protect the identities of informants and to ensure that the information they provide is not compromised.

In addition to the records required by the FOIA and the Attorney General's Guidelines, the FBI may also keep other records related to informant payments, such as:

The informant's background information
The informant's relationship with the FBI
The informant's cooperation with the FBI
The results of the FBI's investigation
These additional records may be kept in the informant's case file or in a separate file. The decision of whether to keep these additional records is made on a case-by-case basis.

The FBI's policy on recordkeeping for informant payments is designed to ensure that the FBI is transparent about its use of taxpayer money and that the privacy of informants is protected.

Wow. Fox and Carlson will be able to access all this during discovery. Gonna be yuge. Yuge!

And of course they will be able to access Epps' financial records. Who knows what's in there!

Just because they're supposed to doesn't necessarily mean they did. The FBI has shown that they don't play by the rules.

They arrested everybody who they could identify but yet didn't Epps. Why would that be? He was on the Most Wanted list and then he wasn't. Think critically here and don't parrot what Bard or the MSM tells you to think.

I totally believe Fox and Carlson. Now that Epps has sued them they can use discovery to prove the whole dang thang.

They still could be wrong. He could be just a snitch after the fact and not an informant. All i know is that we haven't been told the truth about Epps.

It's pretty interesting that Epps is suing for being called an agent and not an informant. His court statement directly says that.
