BJ is upping his game the last few days. Dan encouraged me the first few games but has since stalled. If you had Uggla pencilled in your bets to homer before BJ Upton you lost a lot of money.
At least BJ contributes some defensive strength whereas Uggla's throws are only rivaled by that of Ryan Zimmerman, and he has a shorter distance to first base. Uggla's poor throwing almost lost us the game the other night.
Is there reason for optimism that Dan could hit 20-25 homers this year? How about 15? We're stuck with him for another year after this while LaStella is finding his groove and Peraza develops.
