Trump Indictment Watch

To no surprise the Trump legal team asked for a delay in naming a trial date until after the 2024 elections.

I'm seeing all the panic from the left over this today. It would be a damn shame if the DOJ wouldn't be able to interfere with the 2024 election. lol

Former President Donald J. Trump said on Tuesday that he recently received a so-called target letter from the special counsel Jack Smith in connection with the criminal investigation into his efforts to hold onto power after he lost the 2020 election, a sign that he is likely to be indicted in the case.

It would be the second time Mr. Smith has notified Mr. Trump that he is a target in a federal investigation. The first, in June, was in connection to the investigation into Mr. Trump’s handling of national defense material after he left office and his alleged obstruction of efforts to retrieve it.

“Deranged Jack Smith, the prosecutor with Joe Biden’s DOJ, sent a letter (again, it was Sunday night!) stating that I am a TARGET of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation, and giving me a very short 4 days to report to the Grand Jury, which almost always means an Arrest and Indictment,” Mr. Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, after a news inquiry into whether he had been told he is a target.

A person close to Mr. Trump confirmed he had received the letter.

All these Trump trials are going to cause major scheduling problems. That's going to make some of them happen earlier.

If it wasn't so sad it would be laughable. Even if he gets convicted an appellate or the SCOTUS will laugh this out of court.

The idea is to throw as many accusations in the public space as possible beacuse they know their idiot voters don't stay around for the conclusions a few months later when it all falls apart.

Left is so lucky their voters are so stupid.

I think at least one of the other prosecutions (Smith in Washington, Willis in Atlanta) might be done by then.

I doubt it. I don't see why so much time is needed by the defense in the documents case but these other cases are far more complicated so I expect there to be a longer pre-trial period. Like I said, I don't know what Trumps lawyers could possibly find within the dicuments that could help their defense.

I hope they get him

You guys gotta ask yourselves what you do with your free time if they do though.

What will I do with that extra 5 minutes? Probably double it to 10 minutes to give you updates on how the Teflon Don is adjusting to prison life. I know it's weird that on a political forum we talk about the leading GOP nominee and former President who is under multiple indictments with over 100 felony charges. That's like barely newsworthy stuff.

weird to see one of the 3 stooges try to make fun of someone for what they do with free time

when all they do is post non stop on this board in their echo chamber
