Giolito to face the worst nightmare of a lineup in his career.

I find the fact that we're forced to start Chirinos twice unspeakably sad. His xwOBA is .373 which is in the bottom 4% of the league.

it really is just a matter of options available.. not pitching options, but options of our pitchers. We have yo-yo'd them and really can't call them back up without using the last of the allowed options they have in a year. We have an 11 game lead and what 4 for number 1.. Chereeos' will be gone soon.

It's also the ridiculous sanctions the Braves were hit with. This is where they're hurting. We would normally have a lot more internal options for pitching. Right now, the few options we have aren't pitching particularly well.

that and injuries to lower levels. But Soroka and AJSS are fine replacements. just when our staff gets fully healthy, they might be out of options for the year.. I think they only get 4 per if not mistaken.

I honestly don't know why Soroka isn't pitching at the big league level. He's not been great but he hasn't been as bad as Cheerios this year. Maybe there's something they want him to work on and don't want him tinkering at the major league level.

Really nice inning from Chirinos after the lead-off knock. Especially since he's getting squeezed badly.

I just started watching.. his pitches are moving.. I think a pen role would be better suited for Cheerios.. almost a Chavezs/McHugh hybrid

You have got to be freaking kidding me, d'Arnaud. Just take your damn walk. I'm getting so sick of the double plays by our catchers, even if it's not fully his fault.

how are you guys blaming TDA on that.. all three AB's that inning where quality. That was a tough pitch that TDA fought off and I thought it was a flare that was going to drop down the line.. I think Olly did too, but it just hung and didn't really slice. But all 3 hitters saw 7 pitches that inning.. keep that up please.
