I find the fact that we're forced to start Chirinos twice unspeakably sad. His xwOBA is .373 which is in the bottom 4% of the league.
it really is just a matter of options available.. not pitching options, but options of our pitchers. We have yo-yo'd them and really can't call them back up without using the last of the allowed options they have in a year. We have an 11 game lead and what 4 for number 1.. Chereeos' will be gone soon.
It's also the ridiculous sanctions the Braves were hit with. This is where they're hurting. We would normally have a lot more internal options for pitching. Right now, the few options we have aren't pitching particularly well.
